Description
The Department of Elementary Education at Ball State University invites applications for part-time instructors for Spring 2025 to teach both undergraduate and graduate level courses. Applicants with strength and experience in the areas of curriculum and instruction are strongly encouraged to apply.

Please note that applications will remain active for one year from the original posting date. Therefore, if you apply to this position, you may not hear from the Elementary Education Department until there is a need to hire an instructor for a specific course.

Primary responsibilities for Master's degree candidates include teaching undergraduate courses in elementary and literacy education, with the expectation of teaching courses on-campus, partnering with school and community agencies, and performing other duties assigned by the department chairperson.

Primary responsibilities for Doctorate degree candidates include teaching online graduate courses in elementary and literacy education.
Minimum Qualifications
Masters or Doctorate in elementary education or related area from an accredited institution; at least three years elementary classroom teaching experience; knowledge of recent trends in elementary education.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
University teaching experience; knowledge of working with diverse learners; experience partnering with schools and community agencies; doctorate in elementary education or related area from an accredited institution.
Required Certifications/Licensures
Pre-Employment Screening Requires successful completion of a background check and education verification.
