Description
JOB PURPOSE: The Grant/Contract Accountant will provide financial oversight/analysis for the efficient billing and financial evaluation of their assigned grants/contracts. The Grant/Contract Accountant will be responsible for accurate and timely preparation and submission of grant/contract invoices to comply with the invoicing requirements as outlined by each grant/contract. This role requires a highly detail-oriented self-starter who can work independently but who is also a good team-player. This individual will need to be able to pick things up quickly and be able to meet strict deadlines while managing multiple tasks. Qualifications
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Training in nonprofit accounting and grant administration preferred. Associate degree is acceptable with relevant experience. EXPERIENCE: Minimum 3-5 years' experience in a related field, multiple location accounting experience preferred; nonprofit accounting, consolidations, working with an institution subject to Uniform Guidance, and grant administration preferred. ATTENDANCE: Must maintain regular and acceptable attendance at such level as is determined in the employer's sole discretion. LICENSES: Driver's License with clear record. VEHICLE: Must have daily use of a vehicle without prior notice. OTHER: Must be available and willing to travel to various locations and with such frequency as the business need dictates.
