INVISTA has an immediate opening for an Environmental Engineer join our Orange, TX site. The position reports to the Environmental Leader. The Environmental Engineer will be responsible for managing environmental programs, fostering reliable and transparent relationships with internal and external customers, and demonstrating servant leadership in all interactions. This role is crucial for driving environmental compliance and sustainability initiatives within our organization.

What You Will Do
* Compliance Management:

* Own and manage compliance for multiple federal and state-regulated programs related to air, including LDAR, MACT EEE, BWON, TRI, CFCs and GHG.
* Assist with management of waste and stormwater programs.
* Participate in rotational call duty for environmental department.

* Oversight and Governance:

* Provide oversight and governance of programs within your area of ownership to support site operations.

* Innovation and Transformation:

* Innovate and transform environmental tools, training programs, and communication strategies to enhance awareness and understanding of environmental requirements.

* Change Management and Reporting:

* Manage and resolve constraints related to compliance requirements.
* Oversee change management processes to ensure continuous compliance.
* Prepare and submit compliance reports to regulatory agencies as required.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

* Bachelor's Degree or higher in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a STEM discipline
* 4+ years of experience managing environmental programs supporting an industrial facility
* Experience with Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills (Ex: creating/checking formulas, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, creating charts, and performing calculations)
* Technical writing experience
* Experience interacting with government agencies/officials such as the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) and the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
* This role is not eligible for visa sponsorship

What Will Put You Ahead

* Experience working in a chemical manufacturing facility
* Experience with environmental compliance, including knowledge of federal and state regulations in Texas
* Experience in managing Title V and NSR permitting and permit reporting
* Experience in the management of Stormwater
* Proficiency in advanced data management systems such as OSI PI, SEEQ, or DCS
* Experience using Adobe software for creating and editing reports
