Position Summary

The Associate Director of Admissions and Financial Aid will be responsible for the integrated delivery of admissions and institutional financial aid services to prospective and admitted graduate students who are interested in graduate programs at NYU GPH. Reporting to the Associate Dean for Admissions and Enrollment, the Associate Director will primarily manage the admissions workflow, including application review, and oversee the institutional award process in the student information system for new and continuing students. The Associate Director will support the Associate Dean in developing an effective strategic recruitment plan and ensure that recruitment tactics and daily activities are executed in alignment with the office's strategic goals. They will participate in recruitment event planning and serve as an ambassador for GPH's graduate programs at on-campus, off-campus, and virtual graduate recruitment events. The Associate Director will supervise staff and student workers and cultivate strong working relationships with GPH faculty and staff. They will utilize the CRM (Slate) and common application system (SOPHAS) to provide robust reports, analyses, and offer data-informed recommendations to assist with the development of overall strategy for recruitment, admissions and financial aid goal setting.


Qualifications

Required Education:
Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience:
5+ years Admissions or related student services experience.

Preferred Experience:
1+ years Experience with Slate CRM and SOPHAS or comparable common application system (CAS) is desirable. Experience in a graduate or professional school.

Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills. Outstanding interpersonal, public speaking, and writing skills. Ability to handle sensitive situations and/or people. Familiarity or experience with graduate education Admissions and financial aid standards, polices and/or procedures. Facility with office tools including data tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, R, Stata, etc), Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) systems, student information systems and/or other technologies that support the Admissions enterprise. Experience serving diverse student populations and a demonstrated commitment to racial justice, diversity, equity and inclusion. Ability to analyze and interpret financial data. Ability to market diverse programs and serve as a liaison between Admissions and academic program officers. Performs work independently with minimal supervision. Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidential information. Ability to work evenings, weekends, and to travel occasionally.

Preferred Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Experience with Slate CRM and SOPHAS or comparable common application system (CAS) is desirable. Experience in a graduate or professional school; experience at a school or program of Public Health is ideal but not expected. Valid driver's license preferable.


Additional Information

In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $96,000.00 to USD $116,000.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
