The S&OP Director will oversee the creation and timely execution of the Aperture Division's Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process. This includes managing demand forecasting, plant supply plans, and finished goods within the Kinaxis Maestro software environment. The role ensures that all stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Manufacturing, and Procurement) have the necessary data to develop effectiveness business decisions based upon the current S&OP operating plan.

Additionally, the S&OP Director will act as the process owner for the newly deployed Kinaxis Maestro supply chain management software. This involves influencing business leaders to transition standard work into the Kinaxis environment, collaborating to improve the Kinaxis S&OP process, and assisting with the deployment of the S&OE functionality within the organization.

  • Lead the U.S. Apertures Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) process
  • Ensure each plant has the current consensus demand forecast and operating plan for material and labor planning
  • Manage the stock finished goods performance to plan within the Kinaxis software process, highlighting required decisions for inventory changes related to trends and gaps
  • Lead the weekly lead time reporting and escalation process to achieve and communicate corporate objectives for continuous improvement in service
  • Review actual shipments by month in dollars and units versus budget and forecast, highlighting any gaps or risks to financial goals
  • Work with Purchasing to ensure that component and production lead times are challenged and reduced to meet business unit goals and expectations within agreed distribution strategies
  • Review and manage business plans out to 24 months to ensure that plant supply plans are aligned, accurate, and sufficient for meeting the monthly sales forecast
  • Utilize this 24-month capacity plan in decision-making for the assignment of new business, balancing demand across the network, and identifying the need for incremental capacity investments
  • Collaborate with the NPD organization to align corporate plans within the S&OP process for clear visibility of impacts on financial, inventory, and supply plans
  • Maintain and report standard S&OP Aperture Division KPIs to measure and improve the effectiveness of the planning organization. Publish scorecards and results as per Division guidance and develop continuous improvement plans accordingly
  • Transparently share issues, anticipate service risks or inventory impacts with Plant Management and the Division, and proactively course-correct to minimize or eliminate potential issues
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Champion the adoption of the Kinaxis Maestro software tool for S&OP, influencing key stakeholders to transition standard work related to demand, supply, and inventory into the monthly process within Kinaxis
  • Participate in the Center of Excellence for the Kinaxis Maestro tool, collaborating with key Operations, Finance, and Supply leaders to standardize and improve business processes within the software environment
Qualifications

Education:

  • 4-year BA or BS degree.

Experience:

  • 5-7 years of experience in a management role
  • Prior experience leading the five-step S&OP process at a corporate level
  • Leading and managing demand and supply managers within the S&OP process
  • Advanced use of supply chain planning environments such as SAP, JDE, Forecast PRO, or Kinaxis
  • Experience with the Kinaxis Maestro system is a plus

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $165,000 to $190,000 + medical, dental, vision benefits starting day 1 + 401k and PTO. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process. (Full-time is defined as regularly working 30+ hours per week.)
