Celebrating a Century: https://100.scripps.edu/ POSITION TITLE: Research Assistant I POSITION SUMMARY: Under minimal supervision, independently and in collaboration with others, perform research and conduct a wide variety of standard laboratory procedures for projects; analyze data and interpret results; investigate, troubleshoot, and modify methods and procedures as necessary; may assist in designing experiments; may provide routine equipment maintenance as well as guidance/training to other department personnel; perform other related duties, tasks, and responsibilities as required or assigned. The Bollong Lab is interested in the earliest phase of drug discovery. Using high throughput small molecule screens coupled with downstream target identification experiments, we identify new drug molecules and ligandable targets to study and to therapeutically target the biological responses governing regeneration, aging, and cell stress signaling. COMPENSATION: The expected hiring range for this position is $20.67 to $25.06 per hour, commensurate with experience. Consideration will be given to experience that exceeds the listed requirements. COMPREHENSIVE BENEFITS INCLUDE:
