Research Lab Technician III/Supervisor
Apply Keck School of Medicine Los Angeles, California The USC Department of Ophthalmology is seeking a Research Lab Technician III. The ideal candidate will have experience in high resolution light and confocal microscopy, image analysis, image processing, and general biochemical (protein-based), molecular biology laboratory techniques, drug formulation as well as use and maintenance of appropriate laboratory instrumentation to conduct such experiments. The candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in a scientific field and 3-4 years of relevant experience, which may include a Master's Degree or equivalent experience working in basic research. The candidate should be able to work independently, as well as assist multiple research faculty and staff. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, responsible, service-oriented, and have excellent analytical, organizational and communication skills. Job Summary:

Preferred Qualifications: Preferred Education: Master's Degree Preferred Experience: 6 Years Preferred Field of Expertise: Master's Degree or advanced technical schooling combined with 1-2 years of directly related laboratory experience to provide advanced knowledge of research procedures, equipment and analysis methods. Expertise in cell or molecular biology, biochemistry, and optical imaging.
