Kennedy Jenks is seeking a Civil, Environmental, Mechanical, or Chemical Engineer to support the growth and delivery of industrial engineering design and construction projects as a Technical Lead. This role will involve industrial engineering design, chemical and process calculations, bench and pilot testing, and providing engineering services during construction. Key Responsibilities:



  • Work on challenging projects in industries such as mining and metals, aerospace, pulp and paper mills, food and beverage, and manufacturing.
  • Grow and further develop your technical strengths in areas including water and wastewater treatment, process engineering, design development, construction, commissioning, and startup assistance.
  • Collaborate in a collegial and supportive team-based environment on projects from the initial planning stages through design, construction, and startup operations.


Qualifications:



  • BS or MS in Mechanical, Chemical, or other related engineering field.
  • 5+ years of engineering experience in planning, engineering, design, construction, and commissioning.
  • Prior engineering experience with industrial water, industrial wastewater, mechanical infrastructure, system controls, process automation, water/mass balances, or process design is preferred.
  • Project development oversight and project management experience, including scope, schedule, fee preparation, negotiation, project staffing, and coordination of activities related to planning, design, and construction.
  • Travel to client and project sites for visits/meetings, as well as travel to other Kennedy Jenks offices, will be necessary.
  • Leverage existing client relationships to expand services.
  • Professional Engineer license is preferred.
  • Experience with computer-aided drafting (CAD) and design in similar applications (BlueBeam) is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.


Kennedy Jenks offers a hybrid working environment. This role will require being onsite 1-2 days at a client location in Coeur d'Alene, ID and/or Spokane, WA.

The salary range for this position is anticipated to be $95,000 to $120,000, and may vary based upon education, experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications and geographic location.
