UMass Memorial Health, the health and wellness partner of the people of Central Massachusetts, the largest health care system in Central Massachusetts and the clinical partner of UMass Chan Medical School, seeks an Infectious Disease Physician to join the UMass Memorial Medical Group. UMass Memorial Medical Center is a level I trauma center and tertiary care referral center serving more than one million people in central Massachusetts and the surrounding region. Our growing team consists of 22 physicians, 4 advanced practitioners, and 7 fellows.

  • The physician will serve as an attending on infectious disease inpatient and outpatient services, work with our Infection Prevention team and see patients either as a general ID/HIV attending or on the Transplant ID Services.

  • An interest or experience in transplant infectious disease, bone and joint infections, HIV care, hepatitis C or Infection Prevention is ideal.

  • An interest in clinical research or funding for care to underserved communities is preferred.

  • Our solid organ transplant program is multidisciplinary and transplants over 60 livers/year and 50 kidneys/year. We have an active bone marrow transplant program and growing cardiac ventricular assist device program.

  • Our HIV program is a grantee of Ryan White Part C and state contracts for HIV and Hep C care.

  • Teaching is integrated into our practice and an academic appointment is available commensurate with experience. There are extensive research opportunities and educational offsets for teaching through UMass Chan Medical School.

  • The physician will work in a collegial and collaborative setting where clinical care, education and research are valued.

  • The physician may rotate for inpatient or outpatient work to HealthAlliance, Marlboro, Milford or other facilities within the UMass Memorial Health system.
