***This position is based out of our Grand Rapids, MI location***

About you

As a Technician in Grand Rapids, MI, you're a dependable, self-starter with experience in building and property maintenance. You quickly identify issues and recommend corrective measures to ensure quality and safety. You have a strong work ethic and bring a positive, customer-centric approach to your work, whether it's responding to an emergency request, working through light construction projects or conducting regular inspections.

In this role, you will...

  • Coordinate and complete system and building repairs and preventative maintenance requirements in a timely manner.

  • Have an ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • You will maintain and check daily operating logs for the following: air conditioning, fan units, graph charts, utility meters and general complaints.

  • You will ensure that building systems and tenant service requests are handled efficiently at the most economical cost.

  • You successfully coordinate contractor, tenant and management approvals for work orders.

What you'll bring

  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in building/property maintenance.

  • Your own vehicle with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel)

  • Working knowledge of work order and preventative maintenance software systems

  • Experience with painting, drywall and light carpentry/construction projects

  • Flexibility in work schedule - available for off-hours emergency response if required

  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks

  • Commercial experience (this is a plus!).

  • Excellent communication skills.
