Technical Hardware Quality Program Manager

What You'll Do

You will be part of a dedicated team whose foundations are open communications, empowerment, innovation, collaboration, and customer success. We are looking for a motivated Hardware Engineering program manager with a passion for hardware quality and customer satisfaction to contribute to the success of our current and next-generation products in the field.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the tasks of Hardware Quality and Field Failure Analysis engineering programs.
  • Lead hardware engineering support to customer-facing and support groups and collaborate with development and validation teams, manufacturing, and vendors as needed.
  • Direct the engagement with hardware and cross-functional teams to support the fixing and root-cause analysis of hardware issues,
  • Facilitate communication and creative problem-solving to identify root causes of customer issues, categorize failures, and support the implementation of corrective measures.
  • Handle vendor relationships, working with the HW team to ensure the suitability and performance of high-quality components and alignment to project specifications.
  • You can build effective outbound communications with management and customer-facing teams.
Who You'll Work With
  • This role brings visibility and empowerment. You'll work closely with customer-facing teams in technical support and marketing/sales, as well as product groups in engineering and manufacturing.
  • You'll also interact multi-functionally internally with teams working on hardware and software development, product validation, manufacturing NPI, custom development, and contract manufacturing at all product life cycle phases.
Who You Are
  • You are an experienced or aspiring hardware leader or program manager familiar with technical project and program management. You work with large teams to achieve aggressive common goals.
  • Customer engagement and contributions to the bigger picture are opportunities for the right candidate.
  • Experience working with customer-facing teams and field issues
  • Experience working with ODMs and vendors
  • Practical understanding of leading and managing the full lifecycle of large-scale multi-functional hardware programs
  • A true passion for problem-solving and hardware quality engineering
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering
  • 10+ years of relevant experience in hardware development and/or hardware development program management
  • 5+ years experience as a Technical Program Manager within a technology company
  • Experience in managing teams and/or managing technical programs
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in hardware engineering in the networking equipment industry.
  • Solid technical knowledge and ability to guide technical failure analysis investigations and design optimization
  • Experience leading or Program managing hardware projects and programs, with an understanding of the end-to-end product lifecycle from concept to production release and product-sustaining
