Join Our Team as a Sr. Ethics & Compliance Specialist! The Senior Ethics & Compliance Specialist is responsible for supporting and enhancing the company's global ethics and compliance program. This role involves partnering with the Associate General Counsel - Global Compliance, Labor, and Employment to ensure the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of compliance systems, policies, and procedures. The Senior Ethics & Compliance Specialist plays a vital role in promoting a culture of integrity and ethics throughout the organization by ensuring that all company activities adhere to internal policies and external regulations. and supporting our diverse team Key Responsibilities:
- Program Development & Implementation: Partner with the Associate General Counsel to support the development and implementation of the company's global ethics and compliance program, ensuring alignment with current regulations and industry best practices for all areas in which S&C operates or does business .
- Policy Management: Assist in the development, revision, and management of compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date with evolving legal and regulatory requirements
- Compliance Monitoring & Auditing: Conduct and support compliance monitoring, auditing activities, and investigations to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulations, and identify potential areas of risk.
- Research & Analysis: Continuously research and monitor changes in ethical and compliance regulations, including trade, providing timely recommendations for policy adjustments.
- Training & Education: Support the creation, development, and delivery of training programs and materials on ethics and compliance topics, ensuring all team members are informed and compliant with relevant regulations. Communicate with employees at all levels of the organization to promote ethical practices and compliance with regulations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with the legal and compliance team, as well as other departments such as Finance & Accounting (F&A) and commercial teams across all business units, to implement compliance controls and support the anti-corruption program.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze compliance data and prepare detailed reports on compliance metrics, trends, and risk areas, providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Project Management: Lead compliance-related projects, ensuring timely completion, adherence to regulatory requirements, and effective implementation of project outcomes. Maintain accurate and organized records of compliance-related activities.
- Vendor Management: Support the selection and management of external vendors for compliance-related activities, including training content providers and ethics management systems.
- Compliance Support & Guidance: Provide guidance and support to team members globally on compliance-related questions or concerns.
- Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the company's ethics and compliance program, contributing to the development of a robust compliance culture within the organization.
- Ethical Conduct: Uphold and exemplify the company's ethical standards, serving as a role model for integrity and ethical conduct.
- Confidentiality: Adhere to confidentiality and privacy requirements when handling sensitive information.
- Policy Compliance: Understand and comply with all applicable company policies and rules.
What you'll Need To Succeed:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Law, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in a role that requires an understanding of ethics and compliance, including the application of regulatory frameworks, preferably within a manufacturing or commercial environment.
- Sound knowledge of legal compliance. Ability to learn different compliance technologies and support the administration of these platforms.
- Completes work independently with the ability to implement action plans based on general guidance.
- Good project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deliver on stated commitments.
- Sound interpersonal skills to establish meaningful relationships built on mutual trust and respect, navigate and resolve conflict, moderate behaviors, and foster collaborative working relationships amongst a diverse audience.
- Great communication skills (written, verbal, listening, and presentation); able to liaise with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization and present compellingly to achieve buy-in from managers, and team members.
- Sound business acumen and analytical skills with the ability to use and analyze data to drive informed decisions, problem-solve issues, and support continuous improvement.
- Great attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in compliance monitoring, auditing, and reporting activities.
- Sound ethical judgement and commitment to upholding the highest standards of integrity and confidentiality.
- Ability to work collaboratively.
- Great computer skills, with knowledge of Microsoft products including Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
Preferred:
- Experience using ERP, CRM, or Ethics Management systems.
- Knowledge of trade compliance, anti-corruption programs, and other relevant areas of ethics and compliance.
