DESCRIPTION

Involves the wellness, prevention, rehabilitation and optimization of individuals'physical, sensory, and mental capabilities and functional abilities and outcomes. Includes the rehabilitative areas of physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and audiology. Functions as part of the interdisciplinary healthcare team, working across the full continuum of care in a wide variety of settings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Licensure as an Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist or Speech Language Pathologist by the State of California.

  • Nine (9) years of related relevant experience, OR a Bachelor's Degree in related area plus five (5) years of relevant experience.

  • In-depth knowledge associated with providing evaluation, diagnosis and rehabilitation therapy services within specialty area, or across disciplines.

  • Competency in voice, swallowing and airway disorders.

  • Competency with performing and interpreting videostroboscopy, FEES, and videofluoroscopic swallowing studies.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an educational institution approved by the Board of Speech-Language Pathology, passage of a Board-approved examination.

  • Certificate of clinical competence in speech pathology awarded by the American Speech and Hearing Association.

  • BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.

  • Experience in evaluating and treating professional voice.

  • Experience in providing gender affirming voice care.

  • Interest and/or experience in clinical research.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $118,302 - $156,085 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $56.66 - $74.75

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
