Location: 601 N. Caroline Street, Baltimore, MD 21287

Shift: 6:30 am - 3 pm, Full Time (40 hours), Day Shift

Position Summary:

Under general supervision, performs various clerical duties in the Operating Room. Receives and relays information pertinent to patient care, ensures the cleanliness of O.R. desk and hallway area, completes OR posting form and communicates this information with appropriate personnel, and maintains par levels of clerical supplies.

Work requires knowledge of procedures and policies adhered to in OB/GYN O.R., along with the ability to coordinate scheduling information of the O.R. as acquired during 1-3

Months of related experience.

- Knowledge of computer keyboard functions and demonstrated ability to utilize mainframe and PC programs.

- Knowledge of medical terminology.

- Requires analytical ability necessary to handle routine, non-complex administrative details.

- Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously and exchange and relay information with diverse internal and external calls and visitors.

Education:

-High school diploma or educational equivalent.

- Demonstrates appropriate reading levels for forms and requisitions, OR schedule, and basic instructions.

- Must be able to type forms and correspondence accurately and efficiently at a level generally required through completion of coursework in touch-typing techniques

Work Experience:

Six months of experience in reception-type activities is required.

-Ability to perform as part of the team and to maintain individual accountability.

- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and demonstrate initiative.

- Ability to utilize universal safety precautions.

- Ability to demonstrate professional phone etiquette and document clearly and legibly.

- Ability to identify an emergency and follow established protocol when reporting the emergency.

Salary Range: Minimum 16.86 per hour - Maximum 27.84 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
