We are seeking a Director of Finance to join our clients' finance team. The Director of Finance will be responsible for overseeing all financial planning, analysis, reporting, and budgeting activities, ensuring financial stability and supporting strategic decision-making. This role requires a deep understanding of the manufacturing industry and a strong ability to manage financial functions across multiple sites, driving profitability and operational efficiency.
This role will be onsite with a flexible/hybrid scheduleoffered after training. It will sitin New Port Richey, FL, and a relocation package will be offered for applicants who are not local.

As the Director of Finance, your typical day may involve:
Financial Planning and Analysis:

  • Lead the development of annual budgets, forecasts, and long-term financial plans. Provide financial insights and analysis to support business decisions, focusing on cost management, margin improvement, and operational efficiency.

Financial Reporting:

  • Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP, providing accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership and external stakeholders.

Strategic Financial Leadership:

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and implement financial strategies that align with the company's goals. Provide actionable insights on profitability, cost structures, and capital investments to drive growth and efficiency.

Cash Flow Management:

  • Oversee cash flow forecasting, ensuring that adequate funds are available for operational needs and capital expenditures. Identify opportunities to optimize working capital and improve cash flow.

Operational Performance Metrics:

  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the company's financial and operational performance, providing regular reports and recommendations to leadership.

Capital Expenditure Management:

  • Oversee the financial evaluation and monitoring of capital expenditure projects, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic objectives and return on investment (ROI) expectations.

Team Leadership and Development:

  • Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, and professional development. Ensure the team is aligned with the company's objectives and provide guidance on complex financial matters.

Internal Controls and Compliance:

  • Ensure strong internal controls are in place to safeguard company assets and maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements, including audits, tax filings, and financial reporting standards.

What You'll Need to Be a Top Candidate

  • Education: Bachelor's and/or Master's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field from a four-year institution. The Bachelor's Degree is a minimum educational requirement for this position and cannot be waived.
  • Required Experience: 14+ years' of progressive experience with 3+ years managing teams.
  • Preferred Experience: Experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in a global organization.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
