JOB TYPE Classification: Nonexempt Supervises Positions: No JOB SUMMARY As a Licensed Plumber, you will be responsible for advanced level work, as assigned by Plant Engineering Services leadership, necessary to maintain the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds in an operative and safe working condition. Customer Service: Collaborates with service personnel, inspectors, and vendors in facility maintenance.
Safety: Ensures company assets are in a safe working condition.
Compliance: Maintains knowledge and compliance with regulatory agencies.
Inter-departmental Collaboration: Interacts with individuals from different departments and levels of authority.
Engineering and Maintenance Expertise: Maintains the service life of company assets such as physical structures, HVAC, mechanical, utilities, and grounds.
The incumbent may be asked to perform additional duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS Education: High School Diploma required. 1 year of vocational school required. Experience: 5 plus years of experience in commercial plumbing installation and maintenance. Experience with RO systems and rehab pools required. Healthcare experience preferred. Refer to the Life Support Training Policy for additional details. Licensure: A city/county journeyman's card and/or a plumber's license from state of employment required. Valid Driver's License in state of employment required. Additional Skills/Requirements Required: Applied knowledge in the application and practice of life safety, plumbing and building codes. Extensive knowledge in the repair of plumbing systems and equipment. Ability to analytically troubleshoot plumbing and mechanical equipment issues using a variety of testing equipment. Thorough knowledge in repairs and installation of medical air, oxygen, vacuum, nitrogen, compressed air and nitrous oxide systems and equipment. Experienced in the installation and repair of various kitchen equipment. Ability to evaluate plumbing systems for performance and efficiency improvement. Thorough knowledge in understanding and utilizing technical service manuals, electrical schematics, and blueprints. Additional Skills/Requirements Preferred: Knowledge in electrical and electronic systems. Thorough knowledge in the use of personal computers and PC programs. Ability to hear and understand verbal communication changes in machine/equipment noises. PHYSICAL DEMANDS Physical Demand Code: 15A, Maintenance Work Function/Activity: Medium to Heavy Physical Demand The job requires standing and walking constantly and frequently bending/stooping. Frequent repetitive body movements. Proficient communicative, auditory, and visual skills. Attention to detail and ability to write legibly. Ability to lift/push/pull up to 100 lbs.
