The Xie Lab at the University of Virginia School of Data Science is seeking a highly motivated and self-driven postdoctoral researcher in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) in healthcare. What you will do: Data-Driven Smart Healthcare: Develop advanced machine learning models to extract and analyze data from various medical sources, improving healthcare outcomes through innovative diagnostic and therapeutic tools.
Physics-Informed Machine Learning for Modeling Complex Physics Systems: Enhance the predictive capabilities of physics system models using cutting-edge machine learning techniques that integrate domain knowledge of physics.
Responsibilities also include the development of codes, literature review, new methodology development, dissemination of research through publications, and mentoring PhD students. This is a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
