Staff Research Associate Diabetes Center Full Time 81181BR Job Summary The Koliwad Laboratory in the UCSF Diabetes Center is seeking to hire a Staff Research Associate, level 1 (SRA1) to work on projects related to our basic and translational science focus on adipose (fat) tissue metabolism, inflammation, senescence, and fibrosis, and the impacts of these processes on diseases manifesting in the context of obesity. These areas of interest are explored using a combination of cell-based models, experimental mouse models, human fat tissue, cells, and imaging studies, and associated molecular biology, biochemistry, physiology, and bioinformatic approaches to analyze gene- and cell-specific effects. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $26.00 - $31.04 (Hourly Rate).
