Your role at Baxter

This is where you can make an impact. We are looking for a Global Process Owner for Hire to Retire (H2R) who will drive process excellence and innovation for HR globally. You will be accountable for end-to-end process strategy, design, delivery and continuous improvement of our processes, working closely with the HR CoEs to drive change in the wider HR organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to transform our HR function into a world-class entity through process excellence and technology innovation and enablers to create value.

What you'll be doing

As part of a global business solutions transformation program, you will lead initiatives and improvements to drive and deliver the H2R transformation agenda. This includes developing a process vision and governance model, aligned with organizational goals, in collaboration with leaders, experts, and partners. Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze the current H2R process and sub-processes to see opportunities for improvement, centralization, and optimization.
  • Develop the strategy for the H2R end-to-end process and determine how to fulfill customer requirements.
  • Ensure that the end-to-end process delivers on its goals of transformation and HR functional optimization.
  • Influence areas outside your direct organizational control related to implementation, maintenance, and improvement of specific processes and interactions with other processes.
  • Partner with IT to establish the technology and technological ecosystem required.
  • Understand customer needs and coordinate the design and delivery of relevant processes seamlessly through collaborating with Global Process Owners.
  • Manage customer issues as needed to maintain process integrity and efficiency, ensuring senior management is informed of any significant matters or opportunities.
  • Perform continuous analysis to identify and prioritize high-impact process improvements, efficiency, and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Develop a training strategy, materials, plan, and toolkit for the H2R process.
  • Define service requirements, performance metrics, and service level agreements for the H2R process.
  • Monitor and measure the efficiency of process improvements, making adjustments as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with collaborators, including finance leadership, business segments, corporate functions, and external partners.
  • Ensure alignment between service development initiatives and business objectives.
  • Provide regular updates and reports on service development progress and outcomes to partners.
  • Share service development initiatives, progress, and benefits with collaborators both inside and outside the organization through different channels, like presentations, workshops, and written communications.
What you'll bring

We are seeking a senior HR leader with experience in all employee lifecycle processes (Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Performance Management, Payroll, etc.).

  • Bachelor's/Master's degree in Business, HR, Economics, Project Management, or similar.
  • LEAN Six Sigma certification - Green Belt, Black Belt would be an asset.
  • HR transformation and change management expertise, including technology landscape change management.
  • Experience in leading process simplification, standardization and transition in a global organization with a dispersed ecosystem.
  • 10+ years of work experience in HR within managerial positions and 2+ years of experience in relevant roles such as Global Process Owner, Transformation Manager, or People Process Excellence.
  • Taking ownership of improvement targets, overseeing the delivery of continuous improvement, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with and influence cross-functional collaborators to reach shared goals.
  • Understanding of business and HR strategies and implications for the global end-to-end process.
  • Knowledge of enablement options, with a particular focus on digitalization and automation. Strong knowledge of Workday and ServiceNow is a plus.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Baxter, we are committed to equitable pay for all our employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $200,000-275,000 USD annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
