JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State York is seeking an Associate Director of Enrollment Management to develop and manage recruitment strategies that align with the campus and university strategic goals and organize outreach activities for high school students. This position is expected to be primarily onsite but may offer opportunities for flexible work. Questions related to flexible work should be directed to the hiring manager during the interview process.

This position in coordination with the Regional Director of Enrollment Management, this position is responsible for the implementation of strategic recruitment initiatives for Penn State York. This position will also supervise, train, and evaluate admissions counselors, financial aid coordinators, and administrative assistants while overseeing the day-to-day operations of the enrollment management office. This position is also involved in campus and off-campus recruitment activities.

Job Duties:

  • Oversee the daily admissions operation and serve as a liaison for staff to the Regional Director. Supervise the enrollment management staff and support staff, including hiring, evaluation, and training. Interprets policy, delegate tasks, and train and mentor staff.

  • Assist in the coordination of recruitment initiatives for service area and out-of-state students.

  • Attend high school visits, college fairs, and other recruitment functions for assigned high schools.

  • Advise and counsel prospective students and families in person, via phone, or email about admissions policies, procedures and deadlines, academic programs and requirements, financial aid, student life opportunities, and career goals.

  • Monitor and communicate with prospective students, applicants, and admitted students.

  • Foster relationships with service area school counselors and advise them on Penn State policies, processes, and procedures.

  • Assist in the preparation of enrollment and financial aid reports.

  • Work with the Regional Director to plan and implement all on-campus admissions events. Coordinate and collaborate with other departments to execute programming and develop and deliver presentations.

  • Attend committee meetings or other leadership meetings as needed.

  • In consultation with the Regional Director of Enrollment Management, participate in strategic enrollment planning on the campus level. Assess data on recruitment strategy and market share and make recommendations on initiatives and changes to enhance recruitment effectiveness.

  • Assist in developing a spending plan and monitor budget expenditures.

Education:

  • This position requires a Bachelor's Degree and 6+ years of experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

The salary range for this position, including all possible grades is:

$56,200.00 - $81,500.00
