Duties & Responsibilities |
The primary responsibilities of this position are in the broad area of teaching. The specific make-up of the position will be negotiated between the candidate and the Department Head. Duties could include (but are not limited to):
- leading undergraduate courses, graduate courses, or both
- peer-education on the scholarship of teaching and learning and teaching assessment of peers
- mentoring, advising, and participating on student committees
- demonstrating master clinical skills
- contributing to experiential learning opportunities for students
- engaging in one-to-one clinical teaching
- creating novel clinical opportunities or experiences
- supporting the Director of Clinical Education in organizing clinical experiences
- service obligations (appointed by Department Head) that are appropriate to the mission of the Department (e.g., service on committees)
Some Professors of Practice may also have scholarship/research roles which could include:
- engaging in clinical research
- acquiring funding related to teaching or clinical research
- engaging in dissemination of information on clinical research or the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Minimum Qualifications |
- Graduate
degree in Audiology, Hearing Science, or related field. - ASHA CCC-A.
- Clinical
license to practice Audiology within Arizona (or the ability to obtain an Arizona license upon hire). - Clinical supervision experience.

Preferred Qualifications |
PhD.Demonstrated inclusion of multiculturalism and/or bilingualism in scholarship, teaching, and service is preferable. |
