Responsibilities: Lead the engineering team to be directly responsible for building and maintaining tools that support and enhance the productivity of the engineering organization. Work closely with product and design teams to build and ship features that improve the developer experience and streamline engineering workflows. Collaborate with other engineering leaders to define, communicate, and execute on goals, priorities, and processes specific to engineering productivity. Recruit, mentor, and lead the team to ensure effective performance and career development. Actively participate in coding and prototyping to validate ideas, accelerate execution, and understand the codebase. Requirements: 2+ years of experience managing, leading, and inspiring a team of engineers, including hiring, retaining, and managing performance. 5+ years of work experience in a software engineering role, with proven technical leadership skills and expertise in designing scalable, reliable, and efficient development tools. Degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field (BS, MS, or PhD). Proficient in agile team software development and strong project management skills. Experience with C/C++, Python, and Go, and familiarity with at least one server-side framework and one database system. Experience with major cloud platforms (preferably AWS). Experience building tools to support engineering work and improve developer productivity is a plus.
