CAS is currently seeking a Finance Analyst for our Finance team. This position will be located in our headquarters in Columbus, Ohio.

Position Summary: The Financial Analyst is a critical role and is responsible for developing, analyzing, monitoring, and reporting of the operating Division's short and long-term strategic financial plans. The Financial Analyst supports the Finance Senior Manager, Divisional management, Finance management, and, if required, the CAS Leadership Team by providing financial analysis, insights, reports, and strategic recommendations regarding division and overall operating performance against annual and long-range strategic plans. This position also provides economic, statistical, and financial analysis as requested by Finance leadership, including strategic requests from the President and the CAS Leadership Team.

Job Accountabilities:



  • Prepare and analyze monthly forecasts to ensure accurate financial planning.
  • Participate in the month-end closing process.
  • Monitor and analyze investments to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform variance analysis to identify key drivers of results and present findings concisely.
  • Create and present complex financial data in an easy-to-understand manner.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial decision-making.
  • Review all purchase orders and expenses for accurate GL account coding, reconciling and resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Develop and maintain annual and long-range investment plans that align with CAS strategy and goals.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to create financial models and reports.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial performance.
  • Guides the business in adherence to policies, procedures, controls, and sound business practices.


Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a similar business-related field.
  • Three or more years of direct financial planning and analysis or related experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and modeling.
  • Strong understanding of financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Experience in developing and managing investment plans.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and personal development.
  • Experience with financial systems tools such as Hyperion, Peoplesoft, and Workday.
  • Experience with Tableau or Power BI for data visualization and report building desired.
