Finance Director

Our client in the healthcare sector is seeking a Finance Director to report to the CFO. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting. Additionally, they will bring experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within the healthcare sector, with a deep understanding of the complexities of insurance revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and analysis.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Manage the annual budgeting process, including long-term financial planning and strategy development.
  • Provide strategic financial guidance to senior management, supporting business decisions with detailed financial analysis.
  • Collaborate with department heads to develop financial strategies that support organizational goals.
  • Monitor the organization's financial performance against budgets and forecasts, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
  • Ensure the effective management of the revenue cycle, including billing, collections, and cash flow management.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial reporting requirements.
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or CPA preferred.
  • 8-15 years of experience in finance, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A) within the healthcare sector is required.
  • Strong understanding of the complexities of insurance revenue, including claims processing and reimbursement models.
  • Proven expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and team management abilities.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

  • the individual's skill sets, experience and training;
  • licensure and certification requirements;
  • office location and other geographic considerations;
  • other business and organizational needs.

With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses.
