Job Description

The Department of Engineering at the University of Massachusetts Boston invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with a starting date of September 1, 2025. We seek energetic candidates with strong research track records capable of establishing and maintaining a nationally recognized and externally funded applied research program in the fields of one or more of the following core areas: Power Systems, Power Electronics, Electric Motors and Drive, Power Apparatus and Protection, Smart Grids, Renewable Energy Systems, Wireless Power Transfer. The successful candidate will be expected to teach core courses in Power Engineering and related subjects.

A completed Ph.D. in Computer and/or Electrical Engineering or a closely related field at the time of hiring is required.
