Position Summary The NYU School of Professional Studies (SPS) is seeking a Career Development Counselor who will guide, advise, and support students through the career planning, decision-making, and job searching processes. This individual will assist students in evaluating their professional interests and skills and developing goals at all stages in their professional and academic careers. Other responsibilities include developing career programs, including planning, marketing, implementation, and assessment of program effectiveness and student outcomes. This role will also work closely with employers to assist them with talent needs utilizing employer resources available (in-person and virtual offerings) from job postings, recruiter-in-residence, resume books, career fairs/industry expos, social media initiatives, as well as involvement in employer forums, conferences, career development panels, and programs. Strong interpersonal skills. Prefer career expertise and knowledge reflecting the current job market, and skills and knowledge in using AI tools for job search and professional development. Mandarin fluency and a coaching certification from an ICF-accredited institution are a plus. Qualifications Required Education: Additional Information In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is USD $70,000.00 to USD $79,310.00. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, as well as, market and organizational considerations when extending an offer. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
