JLL is currently seeking a dynamic individual for the role of VP, Retail Agency Leasing. This is a team - based position and requires a desire for success in sales with new prospects and ability to handle complex conversations with owners, C-Suite, senior management and high level corporate real estate decision makers.
Responsibilities: * Collaborate in all leasing endeavors with respect to client's retail/mixed-use projects which include ground-up, redevelopment and repositioning of assets. * Perform as an integral member of a skilled team responsible for the leasing of high profile existing, new and redevelopment projects. * Responsible for prospecting and securing new business. * Leverage and expand the network of "best-in-class" retailer contacts and foster strong relationships with both in-house real estate managers as well as 3rd party tenant representatives throughout the United States. * Remain ahead of the curve in connection with new concepts in retail and mixed-use merchandising to ensure a state-of-the-art tenant mix. * Participate in client management and new business presentations, as required. * Provide clients with industry and market specific information as it relates to their business and maintain contact information on prospects. * Effectively utilize all internal JLL support groups and internal JLL databases to support business. * Participate and sometimes lead Team meetings and weekly sales meetings to update colleagues on leasing activity, market information, new business generating efforts, prospects and industry knowledge and trends. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree preferred * Understanding of real estate fundamentals * 7-10 years of retail leasing experience * Willingness to travel and flexibility in office location * Ability to drive toward and establish budget and timeline goals; foresee headwinds, make decisions, and offer consistent transparency and communication * An extensive network of retailer and 3rd party broker contacts in the mixed-use, lifestyle and high-profile project sectors * Strong grasp of modern technology and the ability to utilize same in day to day job activities. * Work independently and within a team to build relationships and interact effectively with business partners * A desire to work within a diverse, collaborative, and driven professional environment * Positive, professional attitude * Proactive and take initiative * Maintain confidentiality, utilize judgment, and work with minimal supervision What's in it for you: * Join an industry leader and shape the future of commercial real estate * Deep investment in cutting-edge technology to power your work * Comprehensive and competitive benefits plan * A supportive, caring and diverse work environment designed for your growth and well-being |
