Job Summary

The Engineering Deans Office is currently seeking an awarded student to join their team of professionals. The position will be responsible for managing the flow of incoming students with confirmed reservations of managed study spaces, and will assist the Operations Team with facilities and operational functions as needed.

Duties will include:

  • Serves as student ambassadors promoting pandemic protocol on campus
  • Provides office support to the College of Engineering and Computing Operations Team
  • Serve as gatekeeper to managed study spaces at the College, responsible for verifying student reservations.
  • Liaise with housekeeping staff to ensure managed study spaces are properly cleaned at pre-determined intervals.
  • Maintain Check-in/Check-out sheets for managed study spaces for possible usage in COVID-19 contact tracing.
  • Transport and delivery packages from the Engineering Campus (EC) to the Modesto Maidique Campus (MMC)
  • Assist with events organization and set up
  • Assist with facilities/operational functions

Who May Apply

Students enrolled at FIU, who have been awarded Federal Work Study (FWS) as part of their Financial Aid Award package.

Student must be enrolled with a minimum of six (6) credit hours in a course of study leading to a degree or a Financial Aid eligible certificate, during Fall, Spring, and Summer semesters.

Upon graduating, FWS employment must end.

Work Schedule

  • Hours will vary based on class schedule and needs of the department.
  • Must be able to work Monday thru Friday between the hours of 8:30am - 5pm
Advertised Salary

$12.00 - $15.00/Hour
