The College of Optometry at the University of Missouri - Saint Louis

Job Description

The College of Optometry at the University of Missouri-Saint Louis invites applications for full-time non-tenure track positions with an opportunity to join a dynamic and progressive academic community. We seek caring, compassionate optometry educators and clinicians with expertise in a variety of areas including: Ocular and Systemic Disease including diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, Ophthalmic Optics, Primary Eye Care, Pediatric Optometry, Binocular Vision, Acquired Brain Injury, Ocular Surface Disease and Dry Eye.

Successful applicants will receive a twelve-month appointment.

Qualifications

Required:
* Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree, eligible for or active license to practice optometry in Missouri
* Experience with, or demonstrated potential to develop, innovative instructional strategies and technology
* Expertise in an area of emphasis and contemporary issues in optometry and healthcare
* Demonstrated experience in the effective dissemination of evidence-based practice and translating research into clinical care and education
* Experience teaching, providing clinical services to, and collaborating with students, patients, and colleagues from a wide variety of diverse backgrounds.

Preferred:
* License to practice optometry in Illinois
* Completed an ACOE-accredited residency to enter qualifications.
