Molex company is a leading provider of optical communication components, intelligent modules and subsystems. We are currently building our in-house Engineering team and are looking for a top-tier talented Senior Application Engineer to contribute to our fast paced and dynamic business of optical network module, circuit pack and subsystem.

What You Will Do
* Work closely with customers and Molex sales team from product conception to successful customer qualification. Manage design-in activity in concert with internal teams.
* Provide technical support of strategic accounts, and drive critical customer issues to resolution.
* Collaborate with engineering team to define product test requirements.
* Interpret industry standards, customer requirements, and competitive intelligence in order to provide guidance into product features and performance requirements to meet customer module qualification.
* Maintain an expert level of product knowledge and application for transceiver bit rates of 400G, 800G and beyond.
* Mentor application engineers on technical challenges in optical module systems.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
* Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or related field
* At least 10 years of experience as an Application Engineer or Optical Network Engineer working with customers from product conception to customer qualification and design-in
* Knowledge of networking PHY layer architecture
* Knowledge of optical transceiver technology and architecture
* Hands-on lab experience

What Will Put You Ahead
* PhD in Electrical Engineering, Physics or Computer Science
* Direct experience in optical transceivers
* Leadership role or leadership experience

For this role, we anticipate paying $100,000 - $170,000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
