JOB DESCRIPTION

The CSR Quality Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and implementing quality control measures within the CSR Department to ensure the delivery of safe and effective medical instruments and equipment for patient care. This role involves coordinating and monitoring quality assurance activities, maintaining compliance with industry standards and regulations, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize sterilization and high-level disinfection processes and procedures. This role utilizes a strong background in Sterile Processing workflow to identify and educate on quality standards for surgical and medical instrumentation and equipment reprocessing. Working under the direction of the CSR Manager and the CSR Quality/ Education Manager, this role collaborates with stakeholders with collaboration across CSR and the surgical, procedural, ambulatory and clinical areas. The Quality Coordinator executes education, competency validation and auditing as it pertains to regulatory requirements and policy and procedures at UVMMC.

EDUCATION

  • Required: High School Diploma or General equivalency diploma, obtains associate degree in related sciences field within 2 years.
  • Preferred: Associate degree in related sciences field

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician through HSPA or CBSPD
  • Required: Certified Endoscope Re-processor - through HSPA or CBSPD

EXPERIENCE

  • Required: Minimum of seven (2) years Central Sterile Processing experience
  • Required: Minimum of one (1) year Certified endoscope reprocessing experience
  • Required Minimum of one (1) year of leadership experience
