A postdoctoral position focused on the epigenetic mechanisms underlying obesity and autism spectrum disorder in transgenic mouse models is available in the Department of Psychology at Texas Woman's University. The candidate will be funded by an NIH NIGMS grant (1SC1GM144190-01), focused on elucidating neurobiological and epigenetic substrates of obesity and autism spectrum disorders using mouse models.

Responsibilities of the postdoc will include patch clamp electrophysiology, mouse phenotyping and genotyping, and molecular biology. Postdoctoral candidates will be provided opportunities to develop other lines of research and will also be given opportunities to design and implement their own projects while training undergraduate and graduate students.

The Na lab is housed in a state of the art, collaborative space, which provides an interdisciplinary environment for neurobiological research. The position includes a competitive salary and fringe benefits.
