The Department of Pediatric Dentistry is searching for a full-time Assistant or Associate Professor. Responsibilities will involve but not be limited to: Pre-clinical, clinical and didactic teaching in Pre-doctoral and Postdoctoral Pediatric Dentistry programs; including overseeing patient care provided by the Pre-doctoral and Postdoctoral students as well as supervising the treatment of patients using sedation and/or general anesthesia.

Active participation in research is anticipated.

Minimum Education and Experience

  • A DDS/DMD degree from a CODA accredited school and Board Certification in Pediatric Dentistry; candidate must be eligible for a New Jersey dental license.
  • An enteral sedation permit and hospital privileges must be obtained within 6 months of date of hire and maintained throughout employment.
  • Perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed must be representative of the knowledge, skills, minimum education, training, licensure, experience, and/or ability required.

Certifications/Licenses

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrate clinical and administrative effectiveness including training, experience and competency in dental treatment using pharmacological agents and/or general anesthesia.
  • There must be a demonstrated ability to manage a broad segment of dental problems with minimal supervision.
