Position Summary

The Manager Facilitation/Coach Service is responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the workshop activities and coaching aspects of Work Ready Oklahoma. This Manager will oversee the staff responsible for providing direct services and support to participants in self-sufficiency programs while concentrating on deliverables and reporting, client and partner relationships and staff development. This work will take place as part of the multi-organization workforce collaborative Work Ready Oklahoma (WRO). WRO serves a number of populations including, veterans, the historically unemployed or underemployed, individuals with a criminal background including those re-entering society from incarceration, incumbent workers, low skilled or wage workers, and the long term unemployed. WRO programs aim to demonstrate the value and efficacy of well-thought approaches to incorporating soft skills, vocational training, continuing education, job placement, job coaching, and career advancement in ways that make obtaining consistent gainful employment in areas that pay a living wage more accessible to these groups. WRO continuously looks for opportunities to innovate within the workforce development field and where appropriate develop and foster social enterprises that include employment opportunities for the populations we serve.

This position will be responsible for reinforcing consistent commitment to a coaching-orientated, goal driven, service delivery environment. Using techniques such as motivational interviewing, this individual will ensure a team-oriented, customer service centric culture for staff, helping improve the self-sufficiency of those participating in our programs. Ability to effectively communicate with other team members and program participants is a key component of this position.

Essential Job Functions



  • Manages daily interactions with WRO participants, provides facilitation and hands-on coaching during WRO work readiness workshops to compliment the distance learning content, and reviews participant evaluations to determine how services can be improved
  • Track program data to monitor program activity and performance to facilitate outcomes
  • Provide supervision to staff in carrying out assessment, coaching, case management and service delivery activities to ensure access to appropriate program services and supports for participants in various self-sufficiency programs
  • Review participant evaluation summaries to determine how service can be improved
  • Oversee service referral tracking, maintain and analyze accurate workshop data, including attendance rosters, evaluations, and other reporting documentation, and ensure information is properly recorded and communicated across programs
  • Implement and participate in continuous quality improvement that ensures feedback to staff regarding service delivery, content fidelity, and presentation consistency
  • Manage all aspects of workshop services and activities, including the onboarding, training and development of staff to create a high performing team that are experts in resources and skill development
  • Manage processes and effectively collaborate and communicate across internal teams and external partners to ensure timeliness and accuracy of information shared
  • Work closely with program outreach, education services, and workforce development team to ensure service provided is meeting measurable outcomes and exceptional quality that contributes to the long-term success of participants
  • Implement and participate in continuous quality improvement that ensures feedback to staff regarding service delivery
  • Monitor performance management and program activity reports and assist the OKDHS with required regular reporting and audits
  • Assist in the development of additional robust employment and self-sufficiency programming
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Experience



  • 3-5 years of relevant work experience in overseeing social services programs and/or employment and training programs
  • Management experience, required
  • Facilitation experience, preferred
  • Experience with developing vision for a team and executing multiple projects
  • Experience coaching teams towards positive outcomes and developing corrective action plans to improve performance if needed
  • Proven experience setting team benchmarks and monitoring and assessing established processes to achieve planned outcomes, preferred

  • Excellent interpersonal, networking, and negotiating skills and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide range of individuals and constituencies in a diverse community
  • Must be attentive, persistent, and flexible, yet able to maintain a temperament suited to serving people's needs
  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills.
  • In depth knowledge of effective employment and workforce development strategies, preferred
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook; mastery level knowledge and experience, preferredAbility to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends when required o Must be proficient in Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook with mastery level knowledge and experience, preferred.
