Position Summary |
The Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill announces the opening of an open rank faculty appointment (MD) for an Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiologist. The successful candidate will have clinical experience in assessment and management of
VAD patients, heart transplant and
ECMO. Responsibilities will include outpatient cardiology clinic, attending on inpatient heart failure service, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows and heart failure fellows.
UNC has an
ACGME approved fellowship in advanced heart failure. A record of successful research (clinical or translational) with the ability to obtain external funding and/or experience in cardiac imaging are pluses. Position rank and track (fixed term vs. tenure track) is dependent upon applicant qualifications and experience. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of advanced therapies for heart failure. |
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
MD Degree. |
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience |
The successful candidate will be
ABIM-board certified in Advanced Heart Failure and Transplant Cardiology and in Cardiovascular Disease. |
