About the job

Laminator Operator performs machine set-up for orders, safely operates machine to production target, waste, and quality standards, and trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard.


Responsibilities
When your actions lead to success:

  • Supports all activities in developing, implementing, and maintaining quality and food safety management system
  • Report any quality and/or food safety problems to personnel of authority to initiate action.
  • Sets-up machine to specifications outlined on the order
  • Sets-up machine to standard set-up time & procedure
  • Operates machine to standard production target and waste target
  • Trouble shoots machine when it is down or not performing to standard
  • Assists maintenance with machine repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operation of the machine is consistent with the policies and procedures which make up the Quality System.
  • Continuously improve the process as an individual and as a team member
  • Ensures work area is kept clean according to AIB standards
  • Ensures all environmental standards and requirements are met
  • Supports and maintains all activities related to Food Safety Management System
  • Performs inspections per Quality Procedure
  • Cleans machine and area according to schedule
  • Ensures machine Preventive Maintenance (PM) is performed according to the schedule
  • Completes all required tracking forms (Job Plan, Shift Run Report, Quality Sheet, and checklists)
  • Ensures materials are available for next order & next shift
  • Sets the example of safe operation by following established safety guidelines; Follows established safety guidelines; holds self and others accountable
  • Initiates and supports improvement initiatives
  • Other duties as instructed by Supervisor or Lead
  • Complete the applicable machine center Master Cleaning Schedules, checklists, and audits related to Food Safety Management System are completed as required


Qualifications
When your expertise drives us:

  • GED or High School Diploma
  • 2+ years of laminator experience preferred
  • Basic machine functions
  • Reading, writing, and arithmetic
  • Knowledge of printing industry
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel
