You will provide the expertise that will comply with, or continuously improve upon, the quality of the food and production techniques used. The Hot Production Lead will bring a sense of pride to the quality of the foods prepared and the service provided by support and training.Core Functions:Oversees department processes such as menu selection, ordering, quality of food produced, extraordinary customer service, cleaning duties and floor stock management. Supports and identifies potential cost reduction, supply and inventory management. Assigns work to the cooks, line staff, store room personnel, NSA's, food service workers and food preparers. Willing and able to fill any position needed. Understands food and patient safety regulatory and compliance requirements. Maintains a safe work environment. Adheres to safety practices; ensures equipment is safe, clean and in good working condition. Works with the Nutrition Services Supervisor and Trainer to coordinate schedules. Coaches and mentors cooks, line staff, store room personnel, NSA's, food service workers and food preparers.
