Overview

GILBANE has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer to support our upcoming project at Fort Smith, Arkansas. This project will begin in early 2025.

environment on complex projects? Gilbane is seeking a Senior Project Engineer that will partner with the Project

Manager in establishing, distributing, routing plans and ensuring all information is being distributed properly both internally and externally. This role will sit primarily on the job site, with occasional travel to the oce for trainings, meetings, etc.

Responsibilities

    Manage RFI process
  • Prepare front end documents
  • Expedite material deliveries
  • Estimate and process change orders
  • Prepare monthly pay request and prepare shop drawings
  • Establish and manage schedule, cost and control procedures
  • Become familiar with contracts, general conditions and flow down language
  • Perform constructability and coordination reviews
  • Write scopes of work for all bid packages; assist with bid openings and bid tabulations
  • Negotiate changes with trades and owners; manage same process
  • Assume responsibility for jobsite safety
  • Provide job site orientation
  • Facilitate project meetings


Qualifications

Experience/Education:

  • BS OR MS degree in Engineering or Construction Management
  • 8 or more years with CM/General Contractor Organization working on large ($70-$120 mm) construction project
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong technical and communication skills Excellent organizational skills
  • Excellent problem solving skills and ability to adapt to changing needs Ability to work in a team environment
  • Procient in MicrosoG Oce, Procore
  • Must be construction-document and drawing literate, with knowledge of all phases of construction
  • Must have experience and prociency in all divisions of work, methods, materials, scheduling, and cost control
  • Must have strong knowledge and appreciation of construction safety processes and ability to enforce the project safety plan
  • Must be able to create an environment where "safety rst" is the culture and all trades people work with an incident and injury free attitude
  • Must have experience supervising a project team OSHA 30 hour certied
