Location: Suburban Hospital, Bethesda, MD-Core Laboratory

Full Time/Night Shift/11pm-7:30am

Weekend Rotations Required

**Will Consider Medical Technologist I, II or III*

Position Summary:




  • Performs a variety of both routine and complex clinical laboratory tests in accordance with established standards and procedures with minimal supervision.
  • Level of supervision is determined by skill level and experience.
  • Has a working knowledge of equipment, processing of specimens, test results and time constraints of test, in their assigned area.
  • If trained as generalists may be assigned to any area or combination of areas. Has a thorough understanding of medical technology as it is related to their specific job category.



Minimum Qualifications:

Education:




  • Work requires formal educational background in biology, chemistry, hematology, immunohematology and microbiology normally acquired through a four-year post-secondary school program in Medical Technology.



Work Experience:




  • Minimum Clinical Laboratory Science/Medical Technology internship and up to two years clinical lab experience.
  • Certification in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science, MT/MLS, ASCP or a nationally recognized professional organization is preferred.
  • Experience working in blood bank required for night shift.

Salary Range: Minimum $25.59 per hour - Maximum $50.51 per hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.

In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
