The City of Peoria's Public Works Department is looking for a Facilities Technician II for their day shift. The purpose of this position is to maintain and repair building equipment, grounds, and related facilities. This is accomplished by performing preventative maintenance and skilled repairs on electrical, Heating Ventilating and Air Conditioning, plumbing, and other areas. Other duties may include completing related tasks as assigned. This position requires participation on a rotation schedule for on-call after-hours support, which includes evenings, holidays, and weekends.

The ideal candidate for this position will have:



  • Experience with Microsoft 365
  • Experience using a work order system such as Infor or Hansen
  • At least 3 years of electrical experience
  • Government or municipality experience
  • Experience operating boom trucks and scissor lifts
  • Availability to participate in on-call duty

Other Requirements

Minimum Requirements:



  • Education:High school graduation or equivalency.
  • Experience:2 years' experience in the same or similar position
  • Physical Demands: Work requires moderate physical exertion.
  • Participate in an on-call duty
  • Pass Limited Police Department Background Check


Licenses and Certifications:



  • Valid Arizona Class "D" Driver's license upon hire
  • EPA Universal Certification within 12 months of hire
