100% FTE, day/evening Shift, 8/10 hour shifts between 7:00am and 11:00pm. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

We are seeking an Emergency Department Nursing Supervisor to:



  • Work collaboratively with ED leadership and oversee of daily operations of the ED
  • Plan, direct and evaluate patient and family care.
  • Communicate and collaborate with a variety of staff including ED staff, nursing leadership, medical staff, case management, social work and multiple departments.
  • Acts as a clinical resource to staff and assure nursing care is provide within UW Health's established standards of care.


Education



  • Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN). An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered but the candidate must be enrolled in a BSN program with a program completion date within 24 months of hire. Required
  • Bachelor of Science - Nursing (BSN). Preferred


Work Experience



  • Three (3) years of relevant clinical, ED, transport, or Charge RN experience. Required
  • Demonstrated progressive leadership experience. Required
  • Five (5) or more years of relevant experience in clinical practice. Preferred
  • Management, Supervisory, or charge RN experience with demonstrated success. Preferred


Licenses and Certifications



  • Registered Nurse license in state of Wisconsin. Required
  • Certification in relevant specialty area. Preferred
