We are seeking a skilled and motivated Software Developer to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in software development and have experience working in a manufacturing environment. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining software applications that enhance our manufacturing processes, improve efficiency, and support our commitment to quality and innovation.

This position is 100% onsite at our Etna, PA location (greater Pittsburgh area). Only candidates local or willing to relocate are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

- Software Development: Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications and systems to support manufacturing processes.

- System Integration: Integrate software solutions with existing manufacturing equipment and enterprise systems to ensure seamless operation and data flow.

- Process Improvement: Collaborate with manufacturing engineers and operations teams to identify areas for process improvement and develop software solutions to address these needs.

- Maintenance and Support: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing software applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues as they arise.

- Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for all software applications and systems, including design specifications, user manuals, and technical guides.

- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including IT, manufacturing, quality assurance, and production, to ensure that software solutions meet the needs of all stakeholders.

- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous testing of software applications to ensure they meet quality standards and perform reliably in a manufacturing environment.

- Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software development and manufacturing to continually bring innovative solutions to the company.

Qualifications:

- Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, preferably within a manufacturing or industrial setting.

- Technical Skills: Proficiency in programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or similar. Experience with PLC programming, SCADA systems, and manufacturing execution systems (MES) is highly desirable.

- Database Management: Strong knowledge of database systems such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.

- Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex software and system issues.

- Communication:** Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

- Team Player: Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

- Project Management: Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a focus on delivering high-quality results on time.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with Industry 4.0 technologies, IoT, and smart manufacturing solutions.

- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.

- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
