Position Summary:
1. Attend all lectures and tutoring sessions, assisting professors in the following areas:
a. Administration and grading of tests and quizzes
b. Review of lecture content with students
c. Supervision of the classroom and tutoring sessions
d. Supervision of all tutors in subject area(s)
e. Set-up and administration of Canvas or Google Classroom for professors
2. Provide instruction and oversee the learning process during tutoring sessions.
3. Participate in all weekly tutor/TA staff meetings and training sessions.
4. Maintain thorough and accurate attendance and assessment records of tutors and
students, while reporting problems to the faculty supervisor and summer program
director.
5. Prepare the end of the program report and submit the report to the summer
program director no later than the final day of the summer program.
6. Substitute as a tutor, if the tutor is late or absent reporting occurrences to the EOP
Day or Night Academic Coordinator and summer program director.
7. Be available before the summer program to assist with book distribution set-up.
8. Be available at the Closing Ceremony to assist with book collection.
9. Ensure that all books and other academic supplies signed out at the beginning of the
program are accounted for and returned to EOP.

Prerequisite Qualifications:
1. Strong academic performance in the subject area.
2. Good professional judgment
3. Ability to directly supervise tutorial staff
4. Previous teaching and supervisory experience
5. Ability to maintain the highest form of confidentiality
6. Strong command of the English language
7. Aggressive management skills and ability to recommend and take corrective action
8. Ability to complete administrative tasks in a timely and thorough manner
9. A role model on campus and in the local community
10. Familiarity with Canvas and Google Classroom is preferred but not required
