MD or MD/PhD physician scientists with basic science postdoctoral research training are preferred, but PhDs with a demonstrated and deep commitment to understanding the basic underpinnings of psychiatric disorders will also be considered. Successful candidates will be expected to develop an innovative, competitive, and collaborative research program based in the Weill Institute for Neurosciences at the UCSF Mission Bay campus, that contributes to the overall research mission of the Department. Successful candidates will also be expected to demonstrate a commitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the Department and University. Membership in the UCSF PIBS Neuroscience graduate program will also be offered if appropriate. Positions will be filled with an anticipated start date of November 2024 through late summer/fall 2025. The posted UC salary scales set the minimum pay determined by rank and step at appointment. See Table 5. The minimum base salary range for this position is $112,500-$146,700.
