Extracurricular/Student Activities Sponsor 5/29/2024 NORTH STUDENT ACTIVITIES 24-25 School Year 01/18/2025 Kapit Kanta Sponsor Job Description Position Title: Kapit Kanta Sponsor Reports To: Director of Student Activities Position Statement: The sponsor of Kapit Kanta will supervise students during weekly meetings. The sponsor will organize approved fundraisers throughout the year in order to meet the needs of the club's expenses. The sponsor will supervise students in planning and executing cultural events throughout the year.Essential Functions:
? Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient functioning of the club. Goals of the Club: The goal of Kapit Kanta is to create an inclusive and supportive environment to celebrate Filipino culture through music and singing. Filipino Club will raise awareness about Filipino culture to students of other backgrounds through participation in cultural events and assemblies throughout the year. The sponsor will plan and host the following annual events: Diversity/Winter Party, International Assembly. Calendar: August through May Weekly meetings (Day is TBD) 3:30 pm to 5 pm Hours Per Week: 1-2 hours per week for meetings not including events such as Battle of the Bamboo, International Weeks, International Feast, and International Festival which may require additional time for planning purposes.
