Under the general supervision of the Director of Graduate Student Success, the Graduate Student Success Advisor will advise students in the development of meaningful education and career plans; promote students' intellectual and personal growth; discuss and clarify educational goals that align with career outcomes; help students acquire relevant information and university services; interpret institutional, general education, and program requirements; evaluate and monitor student academic and career progress course choice, and class schedule in the context of student life and career goals. The Graduate Student Success Advisor will evaluate student learning progress, career goals, and academic stressors and identify how course selection interacts with internship and employment plans. The incumbent will analyze student information system data to better understand particular student populations' educational and career challenges. Assist in connecting students with career and networking opportunities. The incumbent will perform a holistic career and academic advising approach that guides the student in navigating professional academic training with career achievements at graduation.

This position does not offer remote modality, the expectation for this position is on-campus presence.

The full salary range for the Director of Graduate Student Success is $54,200 to $93,200 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.

Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Currently, we are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment Visa for staff.
