This faculty position will provide evidence-based care to children and adolescents in multi-disciplinary settings. Nature of Work The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist for Outpatient and CoPPCAP programs must demonstrate clinical experience and excellence with children and adolescents and the ability to manage different acuity levels, including working with children in outpatient and peer-to-peer consult settings. CoPPCAP, the Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation & Access Program (coppcap.org) supports pediatric primary care providers through peer-to-peer consultations, 1x only direct patient consultations, resource referrals, and education. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to apply and implement evidence-based approaches to care and support the pediatric primary care provider to assess and treat mild to moderate behavioral health concerns presenting in primary care. A history of teaching and mentoring residents, fellows, and medical students is also desired. Scholarly activities are encouraged and supported. Supervision Received The Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist report to the Medical Director of the Pediatric Mental Health Institute and the Program Director for the Colorado Pediatric Psychiatry Consultation and Access (CoPPCAP) program, Sandra Fritsch. Supervision Exercised The psychiatrist will not supervise other employees. The position will provide training and mentoring to graduate students and/or postdoctoral fellows, etc. Salary and Benefits: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at: Instructor, Senior Instructor, Assistant Professor: $220,000 to $250,000 Associate Professor: $250,000 to $270,000 Professor: $280,000 to $310,000 The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.
