Nature of Work

The University of Colorado's Skaggs School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, located at the Anschutz Medical Campus, is an internationally renowned School of Pharmacy and a top tier school (ranked #20 out of 143 pharmacy schools in the country). A Senior PRA position is available in the Skaggs School of Pharmacy, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Projects will encompass pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling of drugs and biologics for kidney disease treatments and as a tool to study renal injury. Research will also involve in vitro, animal and human studies to delineate transport, metabolism, and pharmacodynamics. Previous experience with biomarkers for treatment responses and toxicities is desirable.

Salary and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $50,000 - $58,000.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.



  • A Master's degree in biology, chemistry, biochemistry, bioengineering or a closely related field.
  • Recent laboratory research experience.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience with pharmacokinetic software for nonlinear mixed effects modeling (e.g., Phoenix, NONMEM).


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • Knowledge of biology, chemistry, biochemistry, or bioengineering.
  • Ability to perform basic science research techniques.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees at all levels throughout the institution.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve, multi-task, and work independently.
  • Ability to design experiments, collect, process, and analyze data.
