Position: Producer/Cinematographer

Department: Digital Media

Reporting Relationship: Reports to the Long-Form Manager

Status: Full-Time (Exempt)

Position Summary

This position will be part of the small team responsible for the production of the Carolina Panthers Long-Form shows (e.g. Panthers Blueprint), Mic'd Up content, player features as well as other documentaries. The ideal candidate for this role will need experience producing/editing as well as shooting features/documentaries, a passion for creating engaging stories as well as an eye for lighting and framing interviews and sets.

Primary Responsibilities



  • Responsible for supporting the execution of long-form feature stories, player Mic'd Up content and episodic documentary series
  • Shoot and edit content for a variety of platforms including broadcast TV, YouTube, and social media channels
  • Ability to lead the setup of an interview when needed and have a good understanding of framing & lighting
  • Help conceptualize with manager and contribute to the team with engaging ideas and stories that bring Panther fans closer to the players and the organization
  • Communicate project timelines and help manage project expectations from assignment to delivery with manager
  • Assist team in the logging and organizing of press conferences and other video shoot footage
  • Game day responsibilities will vary from shooting "Mic'd Up" segments to shooting other storyline features. Game highlights is not expected from this role
  • Help in post-production of larger projects/documentaries by assisting and editing segments when assigned
  • Other duties as assigned



Minimum Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of experience as a producer in a digital or broadcast post-production environment
  • Experience producing and editing long-form and docu-series content
  • Experience shooting and lighting interviews and other various sets
  • Proficient and knowledgeable on industry standards for compression and codecs
  • Savvy and experienced with YouTube - knowledgeable in best practices to increase team's YouTube channel viewership and growth
  • Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Media Encoder etc.)
  • Must pass pre-employment screens
  • Applicants must be able to share a reel, portfolio, and/or collection of prior work relevant to this position demonstrating their prowess as a shooter and editor



Preferred Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Broadcast/Journalism, Communications, Film, Media Arts, etc. or equivalent professional work experience in a related field
  • At least 5 years of experience as a producer in a digital or broadcast post-production environment

  • The team structure will require diverse skillsets and willingness of team members to fulfill different project roles in order to operate efficiently as a small team



Physical Requirements



  • Ability to sit, walk and stand for extended periods of time throughout the day
  • Role routinely uses standard office equipment
  • Lift at least 30 pounds



Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment (mostly office environment, outside in a stadium facility at times which may include inclement weather conditions) and remotely as assigned by management and based on current business needs. This position also requires travel to training camp and away games.
