Email & Marketing Designer

Our client is seeking an experienced Freelance Email & Marketing Designer to jump in immediately to support our creative team for the next 4 to 6 weeks, at around 21 - 24 hours a week. In this role, you will be the dedicated designer for our email marketing initiatives-building custom, high-converting newsletter and campaign templates directly within Constant Contact-while supporting additional design needs across social media and collateral creation using Marq. Preference for someone in New York for occasional onsite, but please still apply if you would be fully remote.

You'd need to work East Coast business hours, fully remote.

Key Responsibilities:

• Email Marketing & Templates: Design and build custom, responsive email newsletters within Constant Contact.
• Template System Creation: Build reusable, modular templates inside Constant Contact and Marq that team members can easily maintain and deploy.
• Cross-Channel Digital Design: Design engaging assets for social media platforms and digital touchpoints that align with our clients' brand identity.
• Project & Asset Management: Manage design deliverables from concept through final handoff, proactively communicating timelines, revisions, and status updates.
• Art Direction Collaboration: Work hand-in-hand with in-house Art Directors and other team members.

• Constant Contact Expertise: Deep, hands-on experience designing and setting up custom templates natively within Constant Contact.
• Digital & Layout Design: Proven portfolio demonstrating strong typography, visual hierarchy, mobile-first design, and email marketing best practices.
• Marq Proficiency: Strong experience working with Marq (formerly Lucidpress) to build locked-down, user-friendly templates.
• HTML/CSS Knowledge: Familiarity with email-safe HTML/CSS coding skills to troubleshoot rendering issues or customize layouts beyond standard drag-and-drop builders is a strong plus.
• Communication & Availability: Strong project management and self-direction skills. Comfort working autonomously within an EST-aligned schedule.
